I've been on several of the hikes in this book and the detailed instructions of how to find the trails heads and where to park are excellent.The only complaint I have is many of the "easy" hikes were not easy for me when I started out.I just moved to Oregon from one of those flat Midwestern states and the easy trails have been killing me if I try to walk too fast. If you are out of shape, know that the easy hikes may actually seem quite challenging for a couple of months!Other than that, great book and hikes! I've been using the Sullivan guides for years and they've been indispensable to my hiking efforts. With new editions coming out I've started picking up the Kindle versions and having them at the ready on my mobile devices is proving very useful.My starting point for Hiking is in Eugene so for local hikes the Cascades 100-hikes book covers the immediate area and the mountains East very well.
